King of The Dot
@Headice vs @PatStay
World Domination 3
Hosted By :@OrganikHipHop @GullyTK & @Dprizzy

Harlem legend, Head ICE, makes his Canadian debut and goes up against one of KOTD’s best known rappers (and one of my favorites), Pat Stay. Both of these guys have taken on some serious names and proved they are not to be taken lightly. With ICE’s short crisp delivery followed by brutal punchlines and Pat Stay’s aggressive, invasive but witty approach this was always set to be a killer battle.

For me, this battle really isn’t about who won or lost. Pats delivery was solid throughout the battle (as per) and ICE had an awesome style, tone and seemed to really be keeping the crowd. Reading through KOTD’s forums a lot of people seem to agree:

“Both dudes killed it. by the end of the battle, I didn’t really care who won. This is one of the few times where I didn’t have a problem with the battle being promo.” - TonyD

Both emcees were showing appreciation for each others bars all the way through, Organik and Gully can be seen cracking up in the crowd (Think the Bruce B line had them!) and generally this was a rad battle to watch.

More from both please.

Dont Flop
THFM2
@OfficialBarnB vs @BigJWest

Bars over Jokes over Bars over Jokes?! haha. I thought I’d write some shit on this battle because its one of the funniest I’ve seen in a while.

Barn-B came with some sick bars in round one and had the crowd, so much so I thought it’d be hard to top… I was wrong. Big J’s return is killer, go watch it again. Some funny shit.

Barn-B: “by the way, you look like Olde English… After a full English!”
Big J: “I’m Big J bitch, I fucking run this town”.

Barn-B brings the “your mum” lines out in round two but they’re actually pretty sick and delivered well, With Barn-B seriously animated, arms flying all over the place. Coming back from this, Big J seems to call out pretty much everyone from the January try-outs “I hate the way that Aukes’ nose is so big but he’s increbily small. I hate the way that Ogmious’ head looks like a shiney white snooker ball” - I’ll say it again, go watch this round again, Its unreal.

Micky Worthless seems to love the final round from both guys ha. For me, it feels like Big J messed about with jokes for the first round then makes a point, for the rest of the battle, to use well constructed and well delivered bars. Big J took it, but yeah, rad battle. I’m stoked to see more from both these guys.

As for ‘Bars over jokes’… I think it goes without saying, to be decent you need both?!

The xx shared their album with only 1 fan to see how quickly it would go viral

check it out here

“It was a risky marketing move that set out to test whether the band could replicate their initial viral success with a map that tracked shares with a visualization on the Coexist stream’s host site.

Twenty-four hours after the stream was shared with a fan on Facebook, the site crashed from the millions of streams, with the average user spending 2.1 hours on the site.”- The Guardian

Such a rad idea and the album is amazing
